Medical students who are interested in pursuing careers in cardiology and cardiac surgery are welcome to complete their rotations and electives with some of the best doctors in the field at NICVD.
Following are some requirements for doing elective / observership at NICVD:
- Students must bring a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their respective university heads that they have no classes to attend and are allowed to do electives at NICVD.
- Student must submit the NOC to the Medical Education Department, Fifth Floor, NICVD, Karachi for confirmation of their rotation.
- The Elective rotations are allowed during Morning shift hours only, usually between 08 AM to 03 PM
- Approval of Elective rotation & allocation of consultant & department is purely discretion of Medical Education Department
