The National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) has rapidly transformed into one of the world’s leading cardiac care centers. We are proud to offer comprehensive cardiovascular treatments; including angiography, angioplasty, open-heart surgeries (adult & pediatric), pacemaker implantations (temporary and permanent), electrophysiology procedures, implantation of life-saving devices (ICDs & CRTs), laboratory diagnostics, PTMC, TAVI, radiology, outpatient consultations, hospitalization, and medicines, all COMPLETELY FREE OF COST. Every day, thousands of patients benefit from our state-of-the-art facilities.

In addition, NICVD provides advanced paediatric cardiac services to treat congenital and acquired heart conditions in children, including critical surgeries and interventional procedures, ensuring the youngest hearts beat strong and healthy.

NICVD has also launched Pakistan’s first innovative Stroke Intervention Program at NICVD Karachi, successfully performing over 300 acute stroke interventions to date, free of charge.

In 2024 alone, NICVD catered to approximately 1.4 million patients, performed over 15,000 angioplasties, 3,115 open-heart surgeries, 2,057 pediatric interventions, and implanted 2,174 permanent & temporary pacemakers all entirely free of cost.
