Professor Sabha Bhatti is a graduate of Aga Khan University MBBS class of 2003. She completed her training in USA including Internal medicine residency and Cardiology fellowship followed by Advance cardiac imaging fellowship with level III training in Echocardiography, Nuclear cardiology/PET, Cardiac CT, Cardiac MR imaging and Structural interventional cardiology imaging. She is board certified in Internal medicine, Cardiology, Echocardiography, Nuclear cardiology and Cardiac CT. She has been in academic practice in the US for over 10 years with leadership roles including Director of Echocardiography and Non-invasive cardiovascular imaging and Cardio-Oncology at UAMS Arkansas and Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick NJ. She has been Associate Professor of Medicine with Rutgers Medical School since 2017. She has had an illustrious and prolific academic publishing record with major publications on the prognostic value of various cardiac imaging modalities including nuclear cardiology, cardiac MRI and stress echo in major impact journals including Circulation, JACC, and European Heart Journal amongst others. Her work has been cited in various clinical guidelines including ACC, AHA and ASNC amongst others. Given her extensive experience she has been highly recruited to NICVD to establish state of the art advance cardiac imaging facilities and physician training. She will head the department of noninvasive cardiology and Imaging for NICVD and all its satellite locations.
