Prof. Muhammad Zia Yaqub is presently one of the top cardiologists in the country, with the specialization in Interventional Cardiology. After finishing his residency and fellowship from USA, he joined NICVD with an ambition to provide finest medical care to under-privileged population in Pakistan and has completed 24 years with us since then. Aside from his academic achievements, Prof. Zia Yaqub has authored 23 publications in various disciplines of cardiology. He has supervised several PhD and research students till date.
