Professor Khuwaja Amin Muhammad is Head of Department of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care at NICVD. Apart from his MBBS from Liaquat University of Medical Sciences, he also has completed MCPS and FCPS from College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan. His wide and admirable portfolio includes working as a Registrar in Anaesthesia in Meath Hospital Dublin Ireland, Senior House Officer at Regional General Hospital Limrick Ireland and Glushtershire Royal Hospital Glouster UK. He also served as Clinical Observer in Guys Hospital London UK. He is General Secretary of Pakistan Association of Cardiothoracic Anaesthesiologist, Vice President of Pakistan Society of Anaesthesiologist Karachi and Member Executive Committee of Pakistan Society Critical Care Medicine. He is also engaged as an Instructor of BLS / ACLS at American Heart Association. He has published 10 original research papers in PMDC and HEC recognized journals and is involved in fellowship training of future anaesthesiologists.
