Professional Skills Development Center (BLS/ACLS Courses)
Basic Life Support is the sequence of procedures performed to restore oxygenated blood in a person after a sudden pulmonary and cardiac arrest.
In the case of heart attacks, time is of essence. By providing Basic Life Support skills to health professionals, working individuals and members of civil society, NICVD aims to promote a conscientious society that can act upon these skills and save out-of-hospital cardiac arrest victims. The course involves training candidates for early recognition and subsequent call for help, providing early bystander CPR, early defibrillation and early advanced life support and standardized post-resuscitation care.
The Basic Life Support course is designed and highly recommended for all adults, aged 15 years and above.
Advance Cardiac Life Support Course is meant for medical and paramedical personnel.
Registrations are done at the Prof. Kassims’ Memorial Professional Skills Development Centre.
